Here’s a list I like – 10+ applications for getting down to business with Windows Mobile 6 – published on the Tech Republic blog today. Not only because we’re on it twice (thank you very much), but also because it’s a great reminder – along with 10 reasons why the Samsung i760 is better than the iPhone for business users, by the same author – of how flexible and functional these handhelds can be. Thanks, Debra Littlejohn Shinder and Jody Gilbert!

I love eWallet and I’m a little suprised ListPro didn’t make the cut.
I’ll have to look in to KeepTrack. It looks intriguing.
ListPro would have been # 12
It would, along with Newsbreak, defenitely be in the top 10 for me, instead of eWallet. I keep my PPC registration info inside ListPro and that’s the only ‘private’ data I keep on my PPC. Since nobody in my direct environment owns a PPC, nobody would benefit from such a list.
Congrats on making the list twice!
These lists are way too subjective. For a business tech consultant, her list is pretty shallow, concentrating perhaps more on “icing” and fluff than productivity. I’m surprised the AV program was included, how many confirmed malicious (not proof of concept) viruses there are for WM OS ?
Anyway, my list would be different but ListPro would definitely make it.
I have to question why some of the choices were made. Listpro would be very high on my list. Pixelviewer? To each their own. At least we aren’t stuck with Steve Jobs choices.
anti-virus? not me.
Pocket Breeze….I want to see my agenda on my today screen quickly and easily.
WeatherPanel…I need to know what the roads will be like when I travel and how to plan my field research.
Obviously, ewallet. I can’t leave home without it.
PocketInformant, SPB Pocket Plus, Pocket Player for music and audio books,
oh yeah,…Resco Explorer, beats the pants off file explorer.
PIEPlus to make Pocket IE more user friendly.
TreoKeylight to turn off and on my keyboard lights.
TreoAlert to manage and customize my reminders and alerts with sound, vibe, and LED.
And Memmaid to keep my treo running clean and mean.
Oh, crap, I forgot about Newsbreak….I open Newsbreak several times EVERYDAY to catch up on the news.
That’s most of everything I can think of right now.
I don’t really understand how you can put together a top 10 WM apps list and not include NewsBreak.
