eWallet for BlackBerry is Out!

eWallet for BlackBerry is now available! That’s right! It isn’t a beta – it’s the real deal. For a limited time, eWallet for BlackBerry is only available directly from Ilium Software and WebIS. We are working on getting it into your favorite retail stores, but rather than delaying the release further we figured we would make it available through our direct store today.

It has all the great features you’ve come to expect from our products, syncs with the current version of eWallet for Windows PC, and is fully compatible with all of your existing wallet files. We worked with WebIS to bring this great product to you, and please contact Ilium Software directly if you have any questions. Our support staff is here to help you with eWallet for BlackBerry just like we do for eWallet on all the other platforms. (For those of you who are new to eWallet, we’re available toll free at 888-632-5388 M-F 9am to 4:30pm ET or via email at support@iliumsoft.com.)

You can download eWallet for BlackBerry here. Try it for 30 days to see if you like it! If you do, you can purchase eWallet for BlackBerry here. And if you are a current eWallet user, find out about getting BlackBerry for the discounted $10 add-on price!

ListPro for iPhone Update

When we asked for your comments on ListPro for iPhone, I was thrilled with the response we received. You guys gave us a wealth of fantastic ideas and insight. Based on those comments, our own experience in the iPhone market, and quite a bit of heavy thought, we have a tentative plan. Note that this is in no way a guarantee of what we will do, but rather an estimate of what we hope to accomplish.

So if you want the inside scoop on ListPro for iPhone, read on after the jump!

How would you like a free iPhone app?

As you may have already heard, Apple just started making promo codes available for their iPhone apps. That’s right – we get 50 codes for each of our programs. It’s great news for us, and we’re very happy that Apple has decided to implement this. To celebrate we’re going to hand out some free codes right off the bat!

The first 10 people to grab one of the codes below get a free copy of Kings Corners on the App Store! Please leave a comment mentioning which code you used so others won’t try the same one – they only work once. Right now, promo codes only work in the US iTunes Store, and they will expire in 4 weeks (although I have a feeling it won’t take you that long to use yours).

After you play a few games, it’d be great if you wanted to leave your thoughts in a review on the App Store. Of course, it’s not necessary, but we always love to hear what you think. Have fun with Kings Corners, and try not to get addicted to it!

The last winner of the year!

Sorry I’m a little late bringing you this month’s contest winner! Marc wrote some really interesting posts yesterday and I wanted to make sure everyone had lots of time to dig in and read those before I published this entry.

So, this is it – the final blog contest winner of 2008 is about to be announced! There was a lot of great discussion in November, so the competition was fierce, but now one lucky commenter has been selected. The last contest winner of the year is: TommyC from the post eWallet for BlackBerry Open Beta. Congratulations! I just sent you an email explaining how to get your prize. If you don’t receive it, reply to this post and let me know.

To everyone else, thanks for commenting and keep it up! We’ll continue this contest in 2009, and there will be 12 more chances for you to win. Until then, if you’re up north like we are, be sure to bundle up and stay warm, and Happy Holidays!

Release Dates

I swear I wrote about Release Dates here once before, but based on some of the comments and questions, I feel like I need to address the topic again. My personal feeling is that unless a product is completely finished and ready for release, software and release dates just don’t mix.

Read on after the jump to learn more about my philosophy on Release Dates…

As a matter of fact, we’ve ALWAYS planned to make eWallet for Mac at some point. This is something we’ve had in the works for a few years – pre-iPhone even. If you want to know more about eWallet for Mac, check out the rest of the post after the jump!

Windows vs iPhone vs BlackBerry vs Palm vs …

Which mobile platform is the best? It’s a war that rages on and on. Vocal supporters of every desktop and mobile platform mount vigorous assaults in defense of their favored system. And yet, I think that’s not the right approach.

Read on after the jump for my take on the debate about “Which Device is the Best?”

This is the first of a series of posts designed to answer a long list of questions folks asked in my last blog post. I started to write it as one post but the thing got so dang long it was getting silly. If I don’t answer your question or address your favored topic today, don’t worry…I’ll get to it over the next couple of days!
