eWallet for iPhone with Copy!

ewi_bigneWallet for iPhone now lets you Copy your passwords and other information directly from the card face and FlexView. With this new update, you can tap and hold on any Card Face or FlexView text, and eWallet will pop up a Copy button. Click the button and the information from that field gets copied to the clipboard.

From there you can paste the information into Safari, Contacts, other cards, or any other application on the device that supports copy and paste!

You can get the new version by checking for updates under Applications in iTunes on your desktop or from the App Store on your iPhone and iPod touch!

Ilium, Thank you for continuing to make the eWallet for iPhone better. Now that it is as good as it can be (except maybe needs to be faster on the 3Gs) please turn all your attention to completing the eWallet for Mac (and on-line version) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, since I cannot fully migrate my life over to the Mac until your product is complete. I’ll even take a BETA version and work to test it for you for free. I’m a long time eWallet user and have paid for every upgrade version of eWallet for the PC/WM/iPhone etc as they come out so I here for keeps. Please finish this upgrade as soon as you can!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

I second the request of KevinH (without the groveling). Have also been a long time user of e-Wallet, but the fact that I cannot sync my info is a major drawback. Please don’t make us look for alternatives (ok, a little groveling is involved).

good update, but real shame about having to lose the iphone icon (the replacement icon isn’t anything like an iphone)
I really can’t believe that the App approval process meant that you could not use an iphone icon!

@Ian: I hear you. We had to yank the iPod icon as well.

@Everyone: I swore I wouldn’t do this, but you guys are being VERY cool in your comments about Mac – honestly, I really appreciate that. I want to thank you for being so civil by offering a hint of what is going on with Mac.

For what it is worth, I sent copies of eWallet for Mac to a number of beta testers – Sync isn’t working yet but a lot of stuff is – one problem we’ve run into is that some of the folks with Snow Leopard are having trouble installing – if it isn’t one thing it’s another – all I’m saying is that we really are working on it. Small company, lots of projects, but we don’t quit.

you could always use a Zune icon to replace those for the iphone/ipod ;))

    LOL

I guess that you did not need another spanner in the works (Snow Leopard) – short term pain (long term gain I hope). It’s learning how to do things in a different way eg Acrobat now does not recognize my scanner, but I can now scan in Preview – same end result, different pathway!

Nice to see new features added to the iPhone version. I have been an eWallet and ListPro user from the original Palm 128k, through Windows CE 2.0, Window PocketPC, Windows Mobile and now iPhone. As such, I have collected quite a few items in my eWallet, and some categories are well over 100 items long. It takes a long time to “flick” down to the end of the alphabet.

Have you guys thought about adding a quick alphabet navigation bar on the right (see contacts on iPhone)? This would be a welcome addition for us “power” (or packrat) users.

    Thanks.

I understand the complexity of bringing the MAC client into production and I have and will wait patiently until it meets iliumsofts’ quality and is released.

Can you please give a hint on the next upgrade that will increase text size or when rotating a card the text automatically gets bigger? My account numbers are very hard to see. They appear so small.

I realize you are aware of this linitation so can you give a hint as to when this will be addressed?

    Thanks!

    @Mike
Just in case you overlooked it… the search function in ewallet works good. It’s the little magnifying glass icon at the bottom which brings up a search window.

Searching will bring up categories and individual cards.

I know Ilium have been working on eWallet for Mac for some time, and we’re all eager to get asap, but we’re patient too! :-)

Keep up the good work guys, eWallet and ListPro are both great products, he said after using them for several years!

Would be a nice Christmas pressie for us users!!

    Thanks.

On the windows version, it would be great if we could assign keyboard shortcuts to the fields (especially username and password.) Then after clicking on a URL in the card, simply press the keyboard shortcut for username, hit tab then press the shortcut for password and that’s it, you’re logged into the website.

Just another voice eagerly awaiting Mac version of eWallet…. I can do without Sync.

Currently I have VMware fusion and Xp running just so my wife has her eWallet.

I too have been a cult member since I got my first free version with my iPaq 10 years ago. I will gladly submit to being a beta tester on SnowLeopard.

Hi Marc, many thanks for this new improvement. I’m an old eWallet customer since wm2003 client. Now my only reason to maintain virtual Windows Os is to sync my wallet. Please count with me as a beta tester for Snow Leopard eWallet when you need it.

    Regards,

    Alex

Hey Marc, it’s good hear that the Mac version is being worked on as I too am waiting so I can switch over without having to dump eWallet for something else. But what I would really like to know is if the ability to create your own templates in eWallet will be added. I used this feature a lot with WM and it being absent from the iPhone version has been a real hindrance in me using eWallet to it’s fullest extent.

I have owned EWallet for Iphone since it was released. I appreciate the latest update for copy and paste. However, I can’t understand why in over a year and about three releases, you can’t make the print on the cards large enough to easily read. The small numbers and font sizes make it very difficult to pull up a card and easily read your passwords, phone numbers, user names, etc. A simple landscape view or larger font options would be easy to do and enhance the application significantly. I know that this feature has been mentioned by many others from the first day of release of the application.

Great! Usefull. Now please work on listpro for the iPhone. Or at least for those of us who keep multiple lists some type of limited function reader. I am starting a new major project and am having to find a different organizing/list solution since List Pro is not available on my new iPhone. I hate doing that as it will cost me TIME. Please get something out there for us dedicated list pro users.

I just made a cup of tea while I wait for eWallet for Mac. Keep doing a great job guys and I will throw my own House Party the day it is released.

I got eWallet for my iPhone when it first came out cos of how it displays my data – virtual cards. The aesthetics are very important to me. I’ve also been waiting (somewhat) patiently for the mac version. Please make it a priority! I purchased your competitor’s product too (both iPhone & desktop versions) cos it makes so much sense to be able to sync back and forth, but…it doesn’t look good. I’ll definitely get eWallet for Mac when it comes out cos it just looks SO much better (i hate plain lists of data).

I know- you guys are working on it, and you don’t want to make any promises about timelines, but just like all the others who have posted here, I really, really would like to have eWallet for Mac on my desktop soon… so please, please make it a priority!
